don't create separation through the ever unimportant knowledge
Knowledge, general, personal knowledge, is nothing more than data used by humans to tell stories when they meet, it's not a symbol of worth to differenciate human beings, one source of knowledge is never better than another, someone who plays video games all day will gather informations to tell stories, as well as someone watching the news all day, or someone studying ancient egypt all day, it's negative and untrue to try to put a judgment of worth on all the different forms of knowledge humans can store in their brains, no story is better than another, and a story is nothing more than a story, a mental projection, only made to stir and entertain, it can never be serious, it is just what it is, accept it, so the proper and conscious behavior a human can have is to be open and respectful, in order to be able to hear all the different stories people want to share, with amazement and interest, from that presence, set in the being of each, is born a bond between all humans, and love and entertainment is passed on, a careful and kind atmosphere is created, the important thing is to be, live and let live, life is not a competition, the ego in us wrongly compares because its weak and fearful of dying, life is unity and lightness.

Of course, I'm a writer, so I'm biased, but I think stories can be serious. Stories have a tremendous value in society. Yes, they are how we communicate, but only partially. As you know, we also communicate non-verbally. You have a tendency to sound contradictory. On one hand you say, stories are neutral and not very important. Then you say it's important to be open to people's stories. I think it might be because English doesn't appear to be your natural language. But your ideas are well taken.
RépondreSupprimerThat's true my english wasn't built from an english-speaking country, and that's precisely why i like writing in english, i don't have the same conditioning as a person born and raised in those, so my words come out of culture, and to me it gives an interesting trait to my writing, anyway, i don't think it's contradictory to put the emphasize on people instead of "their stories" (their past, their future, their experiences) because that's what i wanted to point out, the important thing to me is communication through the non judgmental, ever open, respectful and accepting being, instead of judgements on "me and my stories", "me and my past", or "the other and his past" etc.., and commenting and criticizing oneself or the others on what they attached to them, to define their likings and personalities.
SupprimerIt's difficult to explain, simply, a human being isn't his stories, nor his past, nor his future, nor his feelings, nor any of the ever changing form, and i try to convey in that actual writing how i think it's important to accept others in their being instead of judging them on the forms, and mental forms, jugments always bring separation and conflicts.
Well i could talk hours on that particular philosophy and this reply is already long enough, i'm not trying to convince anyone but i expose my beliefs, and i recognize i can be unclear sometimes because people aren't in my mind to understand what i try to say, and obviously because english is not my motherly language, i do my best and i'm ok with that.
You're doing a great job.
SupprimerI do very much agree that one source of knowledge is never better than another. Great post as always!
RépondreSupprimerWe can all tell the story of our lives, and depending on the company we're in will often be told in a different perspective. We may put emphasis on one thing with one group, then entirely shift the emphasis with another. For example, I often don't tell people I write creatively. I may tell them I write for a living, which is true. If I knew a person was interested in creative writing, I would echo that interest. I agree that we're all individual, and all our stories are different. It makes us interesting, doesn't it?
RépondreSupprimerI do think that every story is interesting and is worth to be shared, i can listen to everything, and when i'm with someone i tend to be completely open, that is telling and analyzing the stories in my life (whatever if it comes from my actual life, a film i saw, a book i read, a game i play, or a documentary) i mostly accept those stories and wish to be transparent with people, and secretly that people can be transparent with me, as i value sincerity in communication, and non judgment about what i hear, so that post is about accepting and respecting the stories but without identifying to it, without putting too much seriousness on it, or else the past becomes a burden and the future too, the only truth is the present moment, but stories are fun to play with and to stir communication. well i feel like i'm writing a lot (one of my friend says i have adhd eh, what a story).
SupprimerBy the way what is what you call "creative writing"? some sort of a hobby like we are all doing, writing on a blog?
"creative writing" usually means writing fiction, poetry, drama, theater
SupprimerYour blog would be "non-fiction" (biography, memoir, philosophy, factual-type of writing)
Thanks for the info. I'm not familiar with the jargon of professional literature.
SupprimerAnd yeah i recognize i'm more interested in realistic types of story.
