What I seek in this world is knowledge, the functioning of all things, the causes, ideas, and not the facts, then the informations and situations who animate a positive response from my body through pleasant emotions; Although happiness is a state of mind our emotional state is always a "contidioning" (that's my key word eh eh), in one way or another we are conditioned so even if by the reasoning we can make ourself at ease in a situation, there will always be some contexts, optimum events which will bring us more joy!
(the "conditioning" is quite similar to a "learning", with the difference that it is not chosen)
Great thoughts! I agree about conditioning, it's definitely a major factor.
RépondreSupprimerWe are "conditioned" starting from a very young age that things that give us pleasure are good and things that hurt us are bad. Which teaches us that things that feel good and bring us joy must make us happy, "must" being something we are told should be our reaction (where smiling probably originates). If something makes us feel bad, meaning hurt, then we are conditioned to believe that it implies that we are unhappy.
But the things that make us happy are not always the things that society approves, which causes an inner conflict because we are told that our happiness is inappropriate and that results in feelings of frustrations and attempts to abstain from the action/experience of what makes us truly happy.
Hmm, very interesting how you said conditioning is not chosen.
eh eh you begin to understand my point on "conditioning" wich is until then almost in all my post and the point on wich we have a little desagreement on a previous post. and yeah sociéty impose a very huge pressure to control people's mind and actions. (i have written other articles on the subject that i will translate soon)
